Report of “World Blood Donors Day 2022” at MMCH & RC
The Department of Pathology in association with the Department of Community Medicine on 14.6.2022, 10:30 am at Malabar Medical College Hospital Block celebrated “World Blood Donors Day 2022” highlighting this year theme announced by World Health Organization “Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives”. The Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Navaneetha K. Kumar (Medical Officer, Blood Bank). The inaugural address was given by Dr. P.V. Narayanan (Principal). Dr.Ravindran M.K. (Medical Superintendent) felicitated in the program. The Health talk was delivered by Dr. Rajeevan K. (Head & Prof., Dept.of Pathology). Honoring of two active volunteers- Dr. Akhil (Chairperson-RUBRO Blood Donation Forum) and Ms. Abhirami (State Member-BDK) was done. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sily Sreedharan (Prof.,Dept. of Pathology). The inaugural ceremony was followed by Flash mob, Rangoli celebrations and blood donation camps.
