Community Medicine - Research Methodology Workshop.
Report of CME conducted by the Department of Community Medicine
The Department of Community Medicine conducted Research Methodology Workshop on February 9th,10th and 11th, 2023 at Ruby Hall, MMCH&RC. There were 50 delegates from various specialties of Medicine and Dental Post graduate programs from different parts of the nation.
Sri. Anil Kumar (Chairman, MMCH & RC) inaugurated the program. Dr. Sudha Anil (Secretary & Medical Director, Operations), Dr. P. V. Narayanan(Principal), Dr. Dinesh Kumar (Deputy Medical Superintendent) had addressed the gathering. The Guest speaker for the program was Dr. Biju George (Asso. Prof., Dept. of Community Medicne, GMC Calicut & former SBMR Chief, Govt. of Kerala). Various topics relevant to the Research Methodology were handled by the Community Medicine department faculty Dr. George P. Jacob (Head & Prof.), Dr. Kanniyan Binub (Asso. Prof.), Dr. Shilpa Karir (Asst. Prof.), Dr. Remya Ramachandran (Asst. Prof), Dr. Krisnaraj J.S. (Asst. Prof), Dr. Sobin (Asst. Prof), Dr. Roshni (Asst. Prof) and Dr. Swathi (Sr. Resident).
An interesting Panel discussion was held participated by Dr. P.V. Narayanan (Principal), Dr. Anuradha (Chairperson, Ethical Committee), Dr. Paul Mathai (Member, Ethical committee), Dr. Lakshmi (Secretary, Scientific Committee) and George P. Jacob (Member, Scientific Committee) and moderated by Dr. Kanniyan Binub (Asso. Prof, Dept. of Community Medicine). Dr. Krishnaraj J.S. (Organizing Secretary) gave Welcome address at the inaugural ceremony, and Dr. Shilpa Karir delivered vote of thanks at the end of the program.
